4th July 2010 Windsurfing: Hayling Island Wind Direction: WSW Wind Stength: 15 building to 25 Surf / Sea State: flat, v.small swell Air Temperature: 18 Sea Temperature: 19 Weather: sunny, few clouds Max Speed: Distance Covered: Sold Anna's board at car boot, bought new mast for 7.5 and rigged said 7.5 after bacon butty. Oly had 30 mins or so on 7.5 and Hybrid before it get bit lively, so changed down to 5.8 and 95L and headed up to sand bar. Few little ramps kicking up, much better up there at mid tide with downwind being lumpy and busy. Nice downwinder and in for lunch. Decided to put wetsuit on and head back out (had boardies and rashie combo b4). Wind had picked up bit more and after little while rigged 5.2. Much more control. By now it was lumpy lumpy and I was knackered after nearly solid 4 hours of sailing, so called it a day. Great day, with Anna joining enjoying the sun. |
